i know it sounds like a joke but... okay.. i'm going to treat it as one.. but i'll lose some weight..

due to an expanding waistline which causes a massive strain on my surgically repaired back.. amongst other things like tightening pants and busted knees, i'm going on a diet

since i'm not able to do any of the exercises i liked doing like cycling, basketball, superfast walking.. i guess i'm down to just watching my diet, and maybe go do some less-fast walking in the evenings...
i'll go weigh myself tonight and wish me luck

Bad, bad, idea.
You lost fat, all right.... but dollars to donuts say you lost a lot of muscle mass as well.
The bottom line is simple: you didn't gain all that weight overnight. So you shouldn't expect to lose a lot of weight overnight as well.

you really should consider those lumimi girdles and keep yourself wrapped for some months, i didnt believe them at first, but looking at my right hand and wrist...I have to say, having your fats squeezed in a tight container slims down everything.
Right hand, palm, is now so much smaller fro my left hand after 2 months in a cast.
