    • The holy grail doesn’t exist. Not as a cup or a physical bloodline thing. The link between God and humans is always spiritual, I take back my words in calling it a bloodline. Anyone with the right qualities can receive the holy spirit just as the apostles did after the death of jesus.

Probably because not every taxi driver realises that driving faster makes them more overall money. Its always about "how can I milk the current customer more NOW". Wink

Although my case is not as worse as yours, but just to share with you normally what full time people would do to a temp worker, especially in such environment.

I was working in the dry goods department, mainly the biscuits, cookies and tea-bags. All the full time workers are indians and most of them are from malaysians. I had the same mindset as you, working hard so that people can see good image of me. This is when the full time staff see me as a chance for them to push their workload to me. There was this indian whom instructed me to clear the entire shelf of oil, replacing it with fragile pasta sauce. The next thing I know when I was doing the job was that the guy actually walked around pretending of doing something, and occasionally stopping behind me and giving suggestions on how it should be placed, den continuing his routine of walking around and pretending of doing something.

During the dinner break none of the full time staff was present at work, and I had to handle all the customer's enquires of goods that I don't even know existed! I had to smile and apologise for my ignorance as a new comer.

I remember holding on to my pee for 6 hours before I could release.

Thats what I got in return for being hardworking.

Now I think back, if I took my time to do my work, slowly waiting for time to pass, the full-time staff would be the one getting the scolding from the management and not me. Ha!

Hopefully you will be wiser when you enter NS. Smile

I have a friend in CHC and he gives far more than 10% of his income. And he's absolutely sincere.

I once asked him if he was worried the church was misusing the money.

He gave all the usual explanations about how having money furthers god's work etc. But he finished off with this.

"At the end of the day, it doesn't matter if the church is misusing the money. I'm not really giving to the church. I'm giving to god. The money represents my work, my blood, my sweat. I give to god because He is worth it and I love Him. If the church betrays the trust as an agent of god's will, it's a terrible thing. But it doesn't change my relationship with Christ."[/b]

Yes it does matter, we are told to be good stewards of what has been given to us. If we misuse our blessings i.e giving to the wrong cause to further that wrongness, we have to face the consequences of our actions.

    • The original hierarchy of heaven:

      God, Jesus, Holy Spirit

      Archangels - Lucifer(12 wings), Michael(has no wings)

Seraphim - Gabriel, Azrael, Raphael, Uriel, Raguel, Sariel, and Jarahmeel

      Cherubim

      Angel

(the first 3 - Lucifer, Michael, and Gabriel are considered cannon, Raphael is mentioned in the Tobit, the last four are mentioned in the book of Enoch)

It is unclear which of the seraphim(if any) mentioned in the book of Enoch joined Lucifer, but the two most high-ranking angels who joined Lucifer changed their names to Asmodeus and Belial.

Angels are created as an extension of God's will and as such were dependent on God's power like leaves on a tree. Without God's power to sustain them, they were destined to die. Many of the smaller angels were died out or went insane after being cast out of heaven. The stronger ones were rendered incorporeal and unable to interact with the physical world easily. The only way for a fallen angel to survive is to convince a human to give up his life force willingly, after having understood the folly of such a decision.

Lucifer at great cost, used up much of his remaining life force to materlise as a snake to deceive Eve. After the fall of Adam and Eve, Lucifer then deceived their son Cain. Cain killed Abel and was cursed to wander the earth. In desperation, Cain turned to Lucifer for help, offering part of his life force in exchange. Together, they in turn deceived another of Adam's descendents to further the line of Cain and spread evil in the world.

It is interesting to note that before the flood, the appearance of this pact between Cain and Lucifer was one of master and servant. Cain and his descendants were very much stronger physically than Lucifer, however Lucifer ultimately had the upper hand of the unwise Cain.

With the spread of Cain's descendants, a race of super beings foolishly supplying the fallen angels with life force in return for imaginery help, God had no choice but to destroy the antediluvians with a flood lest Lucifer and his minions became too powerful after incessant feeding. The situation was nearly in-salvageable at that time with the whole world providing feed to Lucifer and his minions with the exception of Noah and his family of eight people.

After the flood, God wisely limited man's life force to no longer than 120 years. This was done with good intentions and has brought about many benefits for the human race. The chief advantage was that, having a shorter life span, man was far less likely give out his life force to any of the fallen angels. During this period, many more fallen angels died out until the humans multiplied, forgot and became susceptible to temptation again. Angels cannot replicate, thus any angel that dies is a big blow to Lucifer's cause.

God's decision has bought the human race four thousand of years thus far. Conversely, with the multiplication of human's in the world. The number of people who willingly give their life force to Lucifer has also increased greatly.

Whether the benefits of time extension has been exhausted today is of no consequence in God's eyes. If even one human still has the chance to repent, the world will not be destroyed. It will continue until humans make the world uninhabitable themselves with their pollution.

However, Lucifer has a time limit to force a final confrontation. This is because diluted life force is no substitute for those harvested from the antediluvians. His power is wanning gradually no matter how much he tries to conserve it by relying on humans to do the work for him. There will come a time when the benefit of gaining more followers cannot make up for the disadvantage of losing more of his power. He will be forced to plunge the world into chaos sooner or later and take as many people with him.

      For reference-
Michael is the form God takes occasionally. As God does not like to exhibit his power openly, Michael is listed as less powerful than Lucifer in the original hierarchy. Jacob(a human after the flood) was able to fight Michael on equal terms in a contest of strength.

However, after Lucifer became a fallen angel, he lost much of his power. Even after six thousand years of feeding, he probably is still weaker than the weakest cherubim. Although he more than makes up for that in terms of intellect and cunning which were interestingly not lost when he was cast out of heaven.

    • The truth of the matter-
Why did Lucifer rebel? There may be many other reasons but here is the main one. God being very wise, never displayed his power openly. In fact during Lucifer's entire lifetime he had never once seen God display any offensive powers at all. God only created and never destroyed. All along God only created beings inferior to Lucifer. However one day God decided to create a being that had the potential to be far superior than Lucifer. Not only a being, a race of beings... Thus Lucifer's position as the supreme being(in his mind) was threatened.

Lucifer theorised that God only had a power capable of creation. Thus God's offensive capability was limited to those beings loyal to God and willing to defend him. Thus when God created a new race of beings potentially stronger than Lucifer, he rebelled immediately lest the opportunity to usurp God's throne be lost forever.

God knew all along that Lucifer was not loyal and created humans superior to Lucifer in order to test his loyalty.

Side Note: Lucifer originally intended to keep God as a prisoner while he convinced everyone that he should be the rightful ruler. This is because he theorised that God loved his creations so much that if all of God's creations began to love Lucifer, God will give up the power of creation to him instead of commiting suicide to avoid the power falling into Lucifer's hands.

yes u can read up all the illness all that. but at the end of the day, when you lying down there with high fever, do u even bother?

Like what TS said, your guess is as good as the doctor's. imo it is probably even better because normal flu and viral flu feel different. when you visit a gp he's going to ask you questions on how you feel etc... if you purposely lie to him i sincerely doubt he can give you an accurate diagnosis. ask yourself how many GP's actually bother to feel your pulse, check your eyelids, look at the tongue, take note of the face colour and skin condition? they just prescribe medication according to what the patient tells them. might as well skip the 3hrs waiting time at the polyclinic or the $25 consultation fee at a normal one and buy ur own medication. if you insist on doing a blood test for SARS everytime you get a flu, im sure its going to cost a whole lot more than $25.

I like to discuss about GP and medical fees.

Generally, fever / cold / flu are common illness.

When a person has high fever, the doctor prescribes the usual medication.
When a person seems to have flu like dripping nose, they prescribe the usual medication.

Such patients still pay for the GP's consultation.

When I asked the GP, how sure he is that it is flu, he cannot reply.
When I asked him what exactly is the virus, he cannot reply.

Bacteria, virus cannot be identified by the naked eye or the symptoms.

This is why GPs can only base on their 'experience' and prescribe.

I am not sure if now there is such device that identifies immediately if a fever patient is suffering from dengue , but I think if its dengue a person is having, the doctor will initially not know its dengue and prescribe fever pills.

So, what I am saying is GPs based on symptoms and experience and what they studied. When it comes to knowing what is it a patient is having, they can usually cannot say for sure. This is how I understand it based on my experience having seen GPs many times over decades.

Should such consultation fees be lowered since they cannot tell what is the actual problem ? Kenna Dengue but prescribed fever pills?

Or would you suggest consultation fees be adjusted and lowered?

personally, i think GPs are a redundant profession. times have changed in that medical information for treatment of illnesses is free available on the internet. in other countries, europe etc... where there are proper pharmacists, most ppl can buy the medicine for common illnesses instead of having to visit the doctor.

Just a word of advice, for serious illnesses never ever trust what the doctor says. Always do you own research carefully as it can be a life and death issue. If something doesn't seem right and the doctor is being pushy...asking you to sign whatever go-ahead form, its best to time out and ask around. Better to spend some effort being careful than have the next 40 years of your life screwed up. Taking a doctor to court is out of reach for most of us average people.
